PTFE film tapes provide the non-stick, chemical-resistant performance of pure PTFE in a thin, highly conformable tape without the added thickness of a fiberglass backing. High modulus PTFE film tape is made from oriented PTFE film for low elongation and improved wear resistance. It holds its shape under tension and repeated thermal cycling, making it ideal where dimensional stability matters.

Heat sealing jaws and contact surfaces
Transformer and coil manufacturing (wire wrapping, insulation layers)
Electrical insulation for capacitors and slot liners
Skived PTFE film tape is produced by skiving PTFE block material into a thin film. It offers higher elongation and excellent conformability, allowing it to wrap irregular surfaces without wrinkling while still providing low friction and chemical resistance.
Common uses include:
Wire and coil insulation
High-temperature masking and protection
Anti-friction surfaces and sliding interfaces
General high-heat applications requiring tight conformability
Both constructions are available with high-temperature silicone adhesive.
