Lanmar #592-1 is a 1 mil polyimide film tape with a acrylic adhesive. Polyimide film (amber, transparent) is recognized for exceptional dielectric strength, dimensional stability under heat, and broad chemical resistance — retaining mechanical properties across a wider temperature range than most polymer films.
The acrylic adhesive provides aggressive bonding for permanent or semi-permanent applications, and is compatible with processes where silicone adhesive contamination must be avoided. Rated from -40 to +350°F. Dielectric strength: 7000V. Insulation Class 155.
Specifications: 1 mil polyimide film / 2 mil total thickness. Break strength: 30 lb/in. Elongation: 40%. Adhesion: 20 oz/in.
Common applications include PCB masking during wave soldering and conformal coating, wire and coil insulation wrapping, capacitor wrapping, transformer insulation, and high-temperature electronics protection. Supplied in roll form. Available custom slit to width.
