Lanmar #582-5 is a 5 mil high modulus ptfe film tape with a acrylic adhesive. High modulus PTFE film is biaxially oriented for improved tensile strength and dimensional stability compared to standard PTFE film, while retaining full PTFE chemical resistance and dielectric properties.

The acrylic adhesive provides aggressive bonding to metal and rigid substrates, and is the preferred choice where silicone adhesive would be incompatible with downstream processes. Rated from -40 to +350°F. Dielectric strength: 16000V. Insulation Class 155.

Specifications: 5 mil PTFE film / 6 mil total thickness. Break strength: 45 lb/in. Elongation: 150%. Adhesion: 45 oz/in.

Common applications include electrical insulation wrapping, precision masking on metal components, anti-friction surface liners, and chemical-resistant covering. Supplied in roll form. Available custom slit to width.
