PTFE film tapes deliver the non-stick and chemical-resistant properties of pure PTFE in a thin, conformable format — without the bulk of a fiberglass substrate. Lanmar stocks two distinct configurations to match the specific demands of each application.

 High Modulus PTFE Film Tape — Premium Grade:

Made from oriented PTFE film, high modulus tape offers low elongation and high wear resistance. It maintains its dimensions under tension and repeated thermal cycling, making it the right choice for heat sealing jaws, wire wrapping in transformer and coil manufacturing, and electrical insulation in capacitors and slot liners where both dielectric performance and dimensional control are critical.

 Skived PTFE Film Tape — Standard Grade:

Manufactured by skiving (shaving) PTFE block material into a thin film, skived tape offers high elongation and excellent conformability to irregular surfaces. Its combination of ultra-low friction, chemical resistance, and dielectric strength suits it for wire and coil insulation, masking applications, anti-friction surfaces, and any high-temperature application where the tape must conform tightly without wrinkling.

 Both configurations are available with high-temperature silicone adhesive. Skived tape is typically self-wound without a liner. All widths are available custom-slit from stock. Contact Lanmar to cross-reference Saint-Gobain CHR 2255, Taconic TAC-TAPE 6115/6445, or similar products.
