Lanmar Glass Cloth Tapes (without PTFE) have many exceptional properties that make them ideal for a wide variety of applications. In addition to their high temperature stability, they also possess exceptional cut-through and abrasion resistance, as well as excellent flexibility. These tapes are perfect for use in electrical insulation applications for cables, motors, and transformers.
Our double-faced glass cloth tape is particularly useful for masking parts in plasma spraying, HVOF and grit blast applications. Item #775-8R is our Plasma Spray Masking tape, which also doubles as a "Friction Tape" due to the sticky surface of the silicone rubber coating. It can be used as a spiral wrap for rollers and on drive wheels.
For applications that require high heat tolerance and reflectivity, we offer a tape (#725-7) that is made by laminating aluminum foil to fiberglass cloth. This tape is commonly used in many electrical and insulation applications.
