Lanmar polyimide film tapes are engineered for high-temperature electrical insulation, masking, and component protection in demanding manufacturing environments. Made from dimensionally stable polyimide film, these tapes maintain performance under heat, vibration, and thermal cycling, making them ideal for electronics production, aerospace assemblies, and industrial processing where standard tapes fail.

Polyimide film tape (Kapton-type) is commonly used for solder masking and PCB protection during wave soldering and reflow, as well as coil wrapping, motor and transformer insulation, and wire harness protection. Its high dielectric strength helps prevent shorts and protects sensitive components, while the thin film construction supports tight tolerances, clean edges, and precise placement on small parts and complex geometries. Polyimide film is also used in RF sealing and UV sealing applications where heat resistance and electrical insulation are required.

Lanmar stocks pressure-sensitive polyimide tapes in thin gauges such as 0.001” (1 mil) and 0.002” (2 mil) and can supply custom polyimide tape formats based on your process requirements. Options include multiple adhesive systems, roll widths, and custom slitting to match your equipment, parts, and application conditions. If you need to match an existing specification or part number, our team can help cross-reference and recommend the right tape for your environment.
